4 Sessions of Law Student or Law School Applicant Coaching Services Provided by Sean Ahern, Esq Through Email, Phone, or Video Chat
This is the targeted area coaching package. This package includes four (4) sessions in the form of one-on-one sessions with Sean Ahern, or else in the form of agreed-upon outside research, drafting, and review also by Sean Ahern.
This package is for both law students and law school applicants.
With the targeted support package, Sean offers four sessions to work with students or applicants across one or two targeted areas of support. Sean makes himself available via email for brief support and feedback after sessions. Sean also allows for students or applicants to use session time for outside research and review services where requested.
What I offer!
Flexibility and availability with scheduling
I understand that the people that I work with are incredibly busy and that they do not always know exactly when they will need my services, or else that they have demanding course loads and tight schedules. For this reason, I strive for flexibility with scheduling sessions throughout each week.
I work to remain as available as possible to the people that I work with, and I strive to schedule sessions as conveniently as possible (generally within the hours of 6-9pm EST M-Th). If I am not previously booked at a time during the week, I work to make myself available for scheduling a session then.
While I do value consistency with appointments each week, I also understand that things come up, and I simply ask people to let me know a day in advance if sessions have to be rescheduled.
I want to be a resource that people can draw upon. For this reason, I strive to always respond within 24 hours of an email or call requesting any sort of guidance or session.
I am available immediately to discuss scheduling a first session as soon as a package is purchased.
One-on-one personalized coaching sessions
I guarantee my full and undivided attention to each person’s needs during each session. I am here to provide guidance in an open and casual environment. I do not downplay how important the law school experience or application process is to each person I work with.
Each session is 50-minutes long (with the additional 10 outside minutes devoted to my own personal note taking and feedback provided for each client).
I personalize each session by discussing upfront with all of the people that I work with exactly what they would like to focus on while also allowing the person to decide what they need help with as they need it.
I commit myself only to a limited number of people at one time so that I can remain focused on keeping this service personal and maintain a strong relationship with each person that I work with.
I am the only person that provides services to the people that I work with. I do not outsource my coaching work.
Research, preparation, and services outside of sessions
I do a lot of coaching work behind the scenes, and I do not restrict my services only to one-on-one coaching sessions. The people that I work with have needs that go beyond our sessions, and I make myself available to use session time doing this work as well.
There is a lot of guidance that people need via emails and also through review of written documents. I also frequently do background research for the people that I work with, and I bring all of the information that I gather to each session.
Some people choose to use the session time that they purchased by having me do this sort of work outside of one-on-one sessions. Each sessions spent on outside work for clients includes the same amount of time as a one-on-one session.
Some people prefer to communicate and work together primarily outside of one-on-one sessions and instead via consistent emailing (or even texting). I am more than happy to work this way as well.
What I cannot offer!
Services in excess of that which has been paid for
I restrict my work with each person only to the amount of time that has been paid for upfront. I do not charge retrospectively. For this reason, I insist that additional time be purchased before continuing coaching work past the point at which a person has used all of their purchased time.
I include the full time of each scheduled session when accounting for the amount of time that a person has used. At times, where a session is cancelled less than one day in advance, I also include the full time of this cancelled session when accounting for the time spent with a person.
I do not not account for time spent on simple and casual emailing or messaging. I do encourage the people that I work with to be in contact with me with minor questions, though most will be addressed in upcoming sessions.
That said, I do charge time for more extensive research or else review, feedback, and analysis that is done for a person. I must reserve this right to make this judgment call to charge for outside research and review time where necessary. I do strive to inform all of the people that I work with upfront before I go ahead and charge them for time beyond one-on-one sessions.
I also do reserve the right to cancel any session signed up for due to a lack of availability. For this reason, I encourage everyone to reach out to me beforehand to schedule a consultation before purchasing a package in order to confirm my availability. If sessions are purchased and then cancelled, I will provide a full refund, minus any non-refundable processing fees incurred by any third-party payment platforms.
Guarantees of any particular outcome or result
I do not and cannot guarantee the people that I work with any particular end result or achievement from the work that we do together, whether in regards to admissions, grades, employment or otherwise.
I am transparent with everyone about the fact that I provide strategies, insights, review, and detailed coaching services for success. I do not provide the people that I work with finished work product or any connections from my professional position. I do not and will never promise anything to this effect either.
I am bound by the ethical duties that I am under as a member of the Bar, and I do not engage in services that cross the boundaries of professional, legal, or academic ethics.
I work hard to get the people that I work with to a point where they can succeed entirely on their own merit. I coach people, not carry people, to success.
24/7 availability or support for matters beyond the scope of coaching
I cannot make myself available absolutely all of the time and in regards to discussion of matters that far exceed the scope of this law student and law school applicant coaching service.
While I strive to make myself as available as possible throughout the week and while I seek to get to know the people that I work with on a personal level, the scope of what I can provide is still limited by the fact that this is a coaching business run by one person.
I strive to make myself available within 24 hours of responding to any message or request for a session from the people that I work with. But I cannot guarantee immediate availability every single day and at any time of day. There naturally may be periods between sessions of less availability.
I also cannot provide support services beyond the coaching services that I offer. I am not a qualified or licensed therapist, crisis counselor, or psychologist, and I cannot provide mental health support services in any way. I truly encourage people seeking these sorts of specialized services to look toward the licensed professional services available in their area.
Any other questions, just ask! 🙂
